Allende Arts Space is a creative haven offering residencies, studios and workshops in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a creative mecca for artists.
This self-directed residency is a welcoming space where you’ll enjoy the company of a diverse group of artists from across the globe. Here you can practice, learn and grow in your creative practice, free from daily distractions.
Allende Arts Space features a large workshop space, four working studios for local artists and three art residencies. As part of this vibrant community, you can derive inspiration from others who are finding new ways to master their craft.

Residencies
Our artist-funded Residencies offer the perfect sanctuary to free yourself from the demands of daily life. Here, visual artists, musicians, writers and creatives have ample space, time and freedom to focus on their work and engage in the larger community of San Miguel de Allende, where they can enjoy gallery tours, openings, music venues and a myriad of other cultural, social, and artistic opportunities.

FounderKato Rempel, SFCA is Founder of Allende Arts Space. A Vancouver, BC Canada native and Senior member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, she has 3 decades of experience in graphic design and is a seasoned expat who has lived in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, India and Mexico. Kato has taught drawing and painting, hosted life drawing sessions and organized numerous art shows in multiple countries. A former Creative Director and fine artist working with paint and recycled wood sculpture. An American expat from Detroit, Michigan, Jim has lived and worked in collaborative art studios in Saint Louis, San Diego, Dallas and San Miguel de Allende, his home for the past nine years.
